The Joys of Chickens

The star of this post is Polly, one of our Brabanter hens. She’s the most loud and in charge of our girls.

We have another girl, Pita, who is more go with the flow, unless you interrupt her egg laying. She’ll let you know she’s busy!

Together they get in a lot of trouble, but are always entertaining to watch!

They live in a custom built coop with and automatic door and food and water supplies that last many weeks before needing to be refilled.

The coop is complete with a shingled roof!

And isolation pen for injured or sick birds.
